SERIES Intrepid Men of God - Book 1

DESCRIPTION
Read this amazing rags-to-riches story. His name is really Lazarus, but everyone calls him Zarus. His wealth is from a discovery of copper in a first-century desert. Events take place in Arabia, Idumea, Palestine, Samaria, China, India, and Persia.

This is the story of the Good Samaritan and forty-five years of his life as he also lives through most of Jesus’ other parables. Zarus endures false imprisonment, a cruel indenturement, a mine collapse, a brutal sandstorm, an earthquake, an epidemic, and kidnapping. What is all the exhilaration and heartache for? What is life all about, especially when it is hard? Why are we here?

Follow the suspense, romance, and adventure as Zarus and the love of his life, Jewish Devorah, sacrifice, persist, survive, rise and fall then rise one last time. The surprise ending will take your breath away.

This is first in the novel series INTREPID MEN OF GOD. To visit the author's page about this story {CLICK HERE}

 ABOUT THE AUTHOR

katheryn-yellow.jpgKatheryn Maddox Haddad spends an average of 300 hours researching before she writes a book—ancient historians such as Josephus, archaeological digs so she can know the layout of cities, their language culture and politics.

Having grown up freezing in the northern United States and now lives in Arizona where she doesn’t have to shovel sunshine. She basks in 100-degree weather, palm trees, cacti, and a computer with most of the letters worn off.

The author of forty-eight books, both non-fiction and fiction, she sees no letup in the future. For many years, she has been sending out every morning a daily scripture and short inspirational thought to some 30,000 people around the world.

Half of her day she spends writing, and the other half teaching English over the internet worldwide using the Bible as textbook. She has taught over 6000 Muslims through World English Institute. Students she has converted to Christianity are in hiding in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Somalia, Jordan, Pakistan, and Palestine. “They are my heroes,” she declares.

With a bachelor’s degree in English, Bible and social science from Harding University and part of a master’s degree in Bible, including Greek, from the Harding Graduate School of Theology, she also has a master’s degree in management and human relations from Abilene University.

She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Christian Writers of the West, and is also an energetic public speaker who can touch the heart of audiences.
